| 01/05/2009 Obama and UFOs
| A group called the Extraterrestrial Phenomena Political Action Committee is urging President-elect Barack Obama to "end the six-decade truth embargo" on UFOs. Specifically, the group wants Obama to "demand a full briefing" from the military and intelligence agencies on what they know about extraterrestrial phenomena. They want him to press for congressional hearings. They want him to "formally acknowledge the extraterrestrial presence." And make available for development the technologies that aliens have brought to Earth.

| 01/05/2009 Tombstone ghost shows up on photo taken by tourist
| Everyone has heard of the legendary ghosts of Tombstone, Arizona. Dan sent this odd photo from Tombstone to Angels and Ghosts for their evaluation. He took a photo (third picture) of the hearse in the extremely haunted Birdcage Saloon and found a face in his photo. This hearse was used for carrying all the bodies from the OK Coral shootout to Boot Hill for burial. This is Dan's story: "I was in Tombstone and took this pic of the hearse which is in the Birdcage Saloon. Only my wife and myself were present in that room when I snapped the pic of the hearse, called the Black Mariah. I sent the photo to a lady by the name of Beth who works out of the organization called HAPIA which is located in Canada. They are paranormal investigators and have "dissected" thousands of "ghost pics."

| 01/05/2009 Traffic jam after 'ghost sighting'
| This time of year is traditionally associated with high spirits as revellers welcome in another year. However, a spirit of a different kind has been causing a bit of a commotion outside Coalisland in County Tyrone. An apparent sighting of a ghost has led to crowds of people descending on the Brackaville area over the holidays. "At one point, there was a line of up to 60 cars on the Mullaghmoyle Road with people trying to spot it," said Sinn Féin Councillor Desmond Donnelly. "It wasn't just one night, it was going on for a week or so over the holidays. I'm not sure how it all started - I wouldn't be one for ghosts, but you know how this type of thing spreads."

| 01/04/2009 Psychic looks at 2009
Even as a child growing up in Roslyn, 75-year-old Kanashibushan, dubbed âKâ by family and friends, sensed things other people didnât. âWhen I looked back I recognized that when I was very young it was very strong,â she says of her psychic ability. âIt slowed down around 13. But until then I could see the spirits of people passed on. And my nephews remind me thatâs why they didnât want to be around. âI was very clairvoyant.â Then, she says, her gift âclosed down. It didnât start back until I was 30.â So whatâs ahead for 2009?

| 01/04/2009 Psychic predictions for tech in 2009
| Countless people are trying to predict what 2009 could hold for the world of technology. Of course, it's all just guesswork -- these pundits aren't working with a crystal ball. So we decided to find someone who was. We turned to two self-proclaimed psychics to get their takes on what's ahead for some of tech's biggest newsmakers in the new year. We received readings from Silicon Valley's surname-shunning Celia and L.A.'s "psychic angel," Shaun Moore. (Miss Cleo was unavailable -- last we heard, she was selling used cars in South Florida.) Below, we've pitted the psychics' stances against some less clairvoyant conjectures. Check out the predictions for yourself and see which seem the most sensible. You can leave a comment if you'd like, but we suspect the psychics already know what you're thinking.

| As a psychic, Beth Bennett is used to people asking her questions about love and health. As the recession has worsened, however, an increasing number of her clients are asking her to predict their financial and workplace fortunes, much more so than in the recent past. âIâve had people afraid of losing their homes to foreclosure and a huge number afraid of losing their jobs,â said Bennett, who works at the Inner Space, a metaphysical center in Sandy Springs. A number of local psychics say more and more of their clients are looking to them for advice on some of the most basic and personal of financial and professional matters.

| 01/04/2009 Large explosion in sky over Tok mystifies residents
| Was it a meteor falling from space? Officials think that might be what residents saw shooting through the Alaska sky near Tok on Monday afternoon. A tremendous explosion, like a sonic boom, drew some people outside, where they watched irregular contrails scribe a path in a clear sky. At her home four miles west of Tok, Kathy Olding was loading a large sled with firewood to haul to her house when she was startled by an explosion. Peering out from the tarp-covered wood pile, she saw even her imperturbable Chesapeake Bay retriever, Journey, was on edge, ears cocked. "I could kind of hear it still rumbling, like thunder," she recalled. "I thought, what in the world?" Turning her eyes to the sky, Olding saw the oddest contrail.

| 01/04/2009 The Folly of Exopolitics
| Exopolitics is the study of the political implications of an extraterrestrial presence on Earth, or discovered elsewhere. What got me on this as a topic of annoyance was a profoundly naïve interview with a man named Steve Bassett, conducted by the people at something called Project Camelot. By means of background, Project Camelot is a website that purports to muddle up the genuine history of extraterrestrial activities on our planet with nonsense about âStargatesâ, time travel and so-called âwhistleblowersâ supposedly within the government. Project Camelotâs site contains video interviews â most of which I have viewed 10 to 15 times â with people who range from the highly credible (Richard Hoagland, Bob Dean, John Lear) to the deeply delusional (Bill Deagle, Benjamin Fulford, Dan Burisch and the deeply troubled David Wilcock.) Donât get me wrong: the site is highly valuable for the credible people that are interviewed. My issue is that the folks at Project Camelot propose to battle the elitism of the Illuminati with the elitism of their âGround Crewâ, which basically means the wealthy people they have interviewed and those âin the knowâ, leaving the rest of us âunwashed massesâ to deal with worldwide turmoil as little more than food.

| 01/04/2009 Information released space aliens and USG contact
| On Jan. 3, 09, Steven Hammons, one of UFO Disgest authors wrote the story. He wrote, information was released to the public today about contact between the United States Government (USG) and visiting beings from outside our planet. Sources of the data are alleged to be government insiders associated with the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Maybe we should put this on Obama's list of things to do for 2009?

| 01/04/2009 UFO sighting in Trafford
| The Trafford Centre prides itself on attracting visitors from far and wide - but but not necessarily from another galaxy. The centre's reputation may have stretched even further than anyone imagined. For a startled Trafford Centre employee snapped an image of seven shadowy shapes above the shopping city, on December 23. Four months ago Messenger reported how people in Stretford saw mysterious orange lights in the sky.

| As hundreds of people gazed upon the skies above The Empire Hotel & Country Club after the clock struck midnight, New Year's Day, Borneo Bulletin photojournalist Jason Leong captured this amazing shot of what appears to be an unidentified flying object as the fireworks brightened up the dark skies. This image was actually one of the many shots captured using a "cable release" connected to a Canon EOS 5D digital SLR camera equipped with a Canon 70-200MM F2.8 IS (L) lens.

| 01/04/2009 Dramatic development regarding UFO hotspot and Aussie Bermuda Triangle
| Yesterday All News Web published this article regarding two passenger airplanes that experienced equipment failure and faulty indications that resulted in loss of control of aircraft. One incident occurred in October 2008 the other in August 2005 and in both cases the airplanes plunged steeply. Both incidents occurred in almost the exact same spot over the mysterious town of Exmouth in Western Australia. The town happens to contain two highly restricted military bases as a well as the Learmonth Solar Observatory which is also used for planetary defense including ionosphere monitoring and meteor detection and tracking: A great cover for actual UFO related activity. Within the solar observatory exists the barely acknowledged Learmonth Magnetic Observatory. To see how such observatories might fit into UFO monitoring take a look at this (specifically question 1) and this. The planetary defense program is known as 'RDOS' which stands for Rapidly Deployable Optical System and was established by S. Pete Worden of NASA's Ames Research Centre who have as one of their stated goals the search for life outside earth. 'Project Wormwood' which specifically tracks moving objects near earth is part of this program.

| 01/04/2009 Hunters spots UFO in Pennsylvania
| The following incident was documented to have taken place in Elk County, Pennsylvania in the United States at 4:45 am, on 4 October 2008: Two hunters had entered the woods at about 0445am. It had been raining and it was very dark. For lighting they had only a âhat lightâ and a mini Mag light. As the fellows walked further into the wooded area, they heard the sound of a coyote howl and the two men stopped. A short time later, they heard coyotes howling from various locations all around the woods. It appeared to be three different packs of the animals. The men had hunted quite often and one of the men said he had never heard so many coyotes howling like that before. At times it was hard for the men to communicate with each other. Suddenly about 150 - 200 yards ahead on the other side of a field they noticed two very dim glowing lights, the lights were about the size of a baseball and about two feet apart, and estimated to be about 15 feet above the ground. They glowed, âlike the indigo colour of a watch.â

| 01/04/2009 UFO reports & government cover-ups ignored by media in 2008, writer charges
| Mainstream media in the United States overwhelmingly ignored UFO reports in 2008, a writer has charged. Even worse, the media --often snobbish-- also deliberately ignores confusing and contradictory reports from officials, said Sarasota Herald-Tribune reporter Billy Cox. Cox lambasted the media's failure to hammer changing reports that U.S. fighter jets were scrambled in response to the Stephenville sighting. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) reports filed by Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) investigations gained official data that indicated the reported UFO may have been headed for President George W. Bush's Crawford ranch. He also took on internet rumors that CNN's Miles O'Brien was fired--along with others--shortly after he prepared a UFO series.

| 01/04/2009 Ronald Nussbeck is offering $10,000 to anyone who can debunk these UFO photos
| Calling all scientistâs, MUFON, NASA and governmental agencies from around the world! Ronald Nussbeck is offering $10,000 to anyone who can debunk these UFO photos and prove they are not real. Now that I have your attention, let me tell you whatâs going on. UFOâs have been a subject of interest for a very long time, not only in the United States but around the world. People have told their abduction experiences, have had unknown materials removed from their body and have experienced missing segments of time. But are these really signs that UFOs exist? There is now a photographic process called the PPP (Penetrating Photographic Process) which was developed and patented by Ron Montgomery/Stewart. During the penetrating photographic process special equipment uses x-ray, thermo and infrared imaging. Light filters applied during each step in bright or dark areas helps to retrieve detailed data. While the validity of this process has been questioned by doubters because of the details it provides, Mr. Nussbeck is convinced of its accuracy.
